Throughout the year UCP-WCW puts on a variety of programs for clients and six major fundraising events. As a small, local non-profit which serves 12 counties we are always looking for volunteers to help out. There are a multitude of opportunities for all ages to get involved. WEEKEND SUmmer camp assisstant
United Cerebral Palsy is seeking a volunteer to accompany a camper with special needs to a weekend summer camp. The camper requires constant monitoring due to impulse control issues. The job includes a van ride to camp late morning or early afternoon (TBA) on Friday, July 27th and riding home with him on Sunday morning, July 29th. The volunteer will need to stay with him Friday through Sunday, including bunking in the same cabin. The camp is in Chetek, WI. We have loads of fun! Skills For Life Assistant
Assist young adults with disabilities who are learning independent living skills in an educational setting (classroom and/or community), following a teacher-led model for 3 hours each session. Verbal or “hands-on” assistance will occur in a 1:1 to 1:3 correspondence with students and will be while they are completing tasks in cooking, housekeeping, shopping, riding the bus, etc.
This is a temporary summer position.
Session One: June 11th - July 16th, 2018
Session Two: July 30th - August 27th, 2018
Both sessions are Mondays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Thursdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Harley Raffle Ticket SalesPerson
Two or more people (per event) are needed to assist with selling Harley Davidson Raffle Fundraiser tickets at various events throughout summer 2018. Have fun talking to people while raising funds to help those in our community with disabilities. Duties will include: setting up and tearing down table, signage, and easy up tent, recruiting people to enter our raffle (all proceeds go to helping those in our community with disabilities), handle money and a cash box. Each event times vary. You can help at as many of the events as you would like. Below are the events and dates we are selling raffle tickets.
